 Page Fault

Dear Sirs,

I have read your post in Annoyances.org related to STOP 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) in Windows XP SP1 and I wonder if you have any additional information concerning the problem. I am fighting with this problem 5 months already but still not success.

I experience a stop event (BSD)

*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE10E1004, 0x00000000, 0xBF895914, 0x00000001)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Parameter 1 - virtual address which cause the fault: 0xE10E1004

Parameter 2 - type of operation: 0x00000000 (read)

Parameter 3 - instruction address, referenced the address in parameter 1: 0xBF895914

Parameter 4 – info from kernel: 0x00000001

The win32k.sys at address 0xBF80CDDB base at 0xBF800000, date stamp 3d6de5e5 cause the STOP.

The STOP occurs when I restart the PC. I get the logo of Windows XP at starting. Then the screen became black for a while and then I get the STOP. Very rare the STOP happens when I log off.

This happens not every time but from time to time and when I restart the PC. In the other hand the system works stable.

I have mini memory dump of this STOP.

I have read everything which I found into Internet related to this STOP – nothing works for me. Also I check the Microsoft Site but I have no problem neither with USB device nor scanner.

The problem happens on three absolutely different systems (as supplier and as hardware). Also the PCs are brand new ones. I check the memory and disk hundreds of times – no errors! Also the PCs have different size of memory. The CPU was:

- Pentium 4 3,06 MHZ (Hyper Threading)

- AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2100+

- Pentium Centrino at 1.6MHZ

Video hardware was:

- ATI

- NVIDIA

- Intel

Also every time I use the latest video driver available.

My installed windows is MS Windows XP SP1 Version v5.1 Build 2600.xpsp1.020828-1920.

After upgrade with the last critical updates (hotfixes) it became MS Windows XP SP1 Version v5.1 Build 2600.xpsp2.030516-0318.

I my opinion this happens in some combination between software and hardware but I am sure that the problem is into WINDOWS XP SP1!

Also when I make the experiments I install just Windows XP and nothing else! I install the windows which comes on CD.

Thank you in advance.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Regards,
Svetozar Yolov

 Finally Snow!

Got the first significant snowfall of the season today. Nothing major, about 3 inches in central Maine. Just sad I waited so long to get tires but now.... 8-)

First off, we are not ebay and certainly not trying to become anything close to that. This is just a place for our members to list items they want to sell or trade easily. We offer no protection for transactions and are not in anyway liable for losses or damages of any kind as a result of transactions. We will do our best to thwart fraud but offer no garantee's. If you feel that you have been ripped off or have a complaint against a member send me a private message or email me with the details. Sabyre17@hotmail.com

To post an item for sale or trade you must be a registered member. You should be open an honest about all claims. Describe your item(s) in great detail and offer pictures. We do not host pictures on this board but www.imageshack.us does and is very easy to use and no registration is required.

When your item sells here or somewhere else please update your post to let people know that the item is no longer for sale.

Hi there and welcome to the boards, sorry for the turbulent order, but I am working on it.

Before I can speculate on what might be the issue could you tell me a bit more about your PC and your new harware. What OS are you using, etc...

 Sound Problems
« Result #6 on Nov 3, 2004, 9:52am »

Hi, new to the forum and hope someone can help. Just bought a new soundcard for my PC and installed the driver through the normal process. When going into sounds and audio devices in control panel though, it is stating there is no default device for sound playback, sound recording and midi music playback. Do not have any drivers for the motherboard and not sure what make it is neither but hope there is an easy way around this problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
